This notice explains the statutory right of withdrawal. The cancellation and refund terms for a specific programme are set out in the individual confirmation and in the Terms.
1. Swiss law
Under Swiss law there is no general statutory right to withdraw from a contract concluded online. A limited statutory right of withdrawal (Art. 40a et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations) applies to certain situations, such as contracts solicited by telephone or away from business premises. Where it applies, the client may withdraw within 14 days by notification in text form.
2. Consumers in the European Union
A consumer resident in the European Union may, under EU distance-selling rules, have a 14-day right to withdraw from certain contracts. Certain services, including leisure activities scheduled for a specific date or period, may be exempt from this right. The rules applicable to a specific programme are stated in the confirmation.
3. Exercising a right of withdrawal
Where a right of withdrawal applies, a clear statement of withdrawal must be sent to info@adventurehealth.ch within the applicable period, stating the name and the booking reference. The deadline is met if the notification is sent before it expires.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Independently of any statutory right of withdrawal, each programme is subject to its own cancellation and refund terms, set out in the confirmation and in the Terms. Expeditions are subject to their own cancellation schedule on account of their long lead time and committed costs.
