This privacy statement sets out how ADD.venture-survival GmbH ("AdventureHealth") processes personal data in connection with the website adventurehealth.ch. Processing is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for the processing described in this statement is ADD.venture-survival GmbH, Schatzalpstrasse 9A, 7270 Davos Platz, Switzerland (UID CHE-435.097.516). Enquiries regarding data protection and requests to exercise data-subject rights may be addressed to info@adventurehealth.ch.
2. Scope and applicable law
This statement applies to personal data processed through the website adventurehealth.ch. Processing is governed by the revDSG. Where the GDPR applies to an individual case, its requirements are observed in addition.
3. Contact and enquiry forms
When an enquiry or contact form is submitted, the following data are processed: name, preferred time, message, email address and, where provided, telephone number. These data are processed in order to respond to the enquiry and, where applicable, to assess a request or application. The form is transmitted via a forms service and forwarded to the company's mailbox. The legal basis is the performance of steps taken at the data subject's request prior to entering into a contract, together with the company's legitimate interest in responding. Enquiry data are retained for six months following the last correspondence, unless they become part of a booking or longer retention is required by law.
4. Bookings and payments
Cold-water sessions and introductory calls are booked through a third-party scheduling service (Acuity Scheduling). The name, email address, telephone number and selected time are entered on that provider's platform and processed under its terms for the purpose of administering the booking. Online payments are processed by the company's payment providers (Stripe and, where selected, PayPal) on their own platforms; the company does not receive or store complete payment-card details. Booking and client records are retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with statutory retention obligations, which under Swiss commercial law may extend to ten years.
5. Communication via WhatsApp
Where contact is made via WhatsApp (+41 77 231 36 47), the message and the associated telephone number are processed within WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under its own terms. Contact by email is available as an alternative.
6. Server log files
On each access to the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data, including the IP address, the date and time of the request, and the resource requested. This processing serves the delivery and security of the website. These data are retained for a limited period.
7. Cookies and consent
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses two categories. Essential cookies and storage are necessary to operate the site and to remember your cookie selection; these are always active. Non-essential cookies, used for the analytics and advertising services described below, are set only after you have given your consent. Consent is managed through Cookie Script, a consent-management service provided by Cookie Script (Lithuania, EU), which records your choice and blocks non-essential cookies until you agree. You may decline, or change your selection at any time via the cookie settings, and the site remains usable. Cookies can also be blocked or deleted in your browser settings.
8. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, with onward processing by Google LLC in the United States ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse use of the website. In its current version, Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses; the IP address is used only transiently to derive an approximate location and is then discarded. The information generated about your use of the website is transmitted to and stored by Google, including on servers in the United States. The company uses this information to evaluate use of the website, to compile activity reports, to improve the website and its range of programmes, and as a basis for advertising. Google Analytics operates under Google Consent Mode: until you consent, it sets no analytics cookies and collects no identifiable data, transmitting only anonymous, cookieless signals; analytics cookies and full measurement are activated only after you consent via the cookie banner, and you may decline or withdraw your consent at any time. You may additionally prevent collection by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on. Analytics data are retained for a limited period.
9. Google advertising: conversion tracking and remarketing
Where the company runs advertising campaigns, it may use Google's conversion-tracking and remarketing functions. These allow the effectiveness of advertising to be measured and allow previous visitors to be addressed with relevant advertising on Google's network. A cookie may be stored on your device for this purpose, and data may be transmitted to Google, including in the United States. These functions are activated only after you consent to advertising cookies via the cookie banner; you may decline or withdraw your consent at any time.
10. Meta pixel
This website uses the Meta pixel, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited ("Meta"). The pixel enables the company to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to address visitors to the website with advertising on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). The pixel may store a cookie on your device and transmit data to Meta, including in the United States. The data collected are not directly attributable to you by the company; however, Meta may link them to your Meta account. The Meta pixel is loaded only after you consent to advertising cookies via the cookie banner; you may decline or withdraw your consent at any time.
11. Social media profiles
This website contains links to the company's profiles on the following social networks: Instagram and Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited), Xiaohongshu, YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) and LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). These are plain links: no data are transmitted to the networks until you click them. If you follow such a link while logged in to the relevant network, the network may associate the visit with your profile; to prevent this, log out of the network before following the link. When you visit the company's profiles, the respective network processes your data as controller under its own privacy terms. Where the company receives aggregated statistics about its profiles, it processes those statistics in accordance with the relevant network's terms.
12. Photographs and video
Where the website displays photographs or video in which a person is identifiable, such material is published on the basis of the consent obtained at the time of participation. A person identifiable in published material may request its removal by contacting info@adventurehealth.ch.
13. Recipients and disclosure to third parties
Personal data are disclosed to third parties only where necessary to operate the website and to provide the requested services, in particular to the service providers identified in this statement (hosting and forms, scheduling, payment, email, messaging, analytics and advertising). Personal data are not sold.
14. Transfers abroad
Certain service providers process personal data abroad, including in the United States. From the perspective of Switzerland and the EU, the United States is not generally regarded as providing an adequate level of data protection; in particular, US authorities may, under US law, access transferred data. Where personal data are transferred to such countries, the company relies on recognised safeguards within the meaning of the revDSG, in particular a provider's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the conclusion of the revised EU standard contractual clauses, in order to ensure an adequate level of protection. The principal providers and their processing locations are:
- Hosting and contact-form delivery: United States.
- Booking scheduler: United States.
- Payment providers: United States / European Union.
- Email: European Union / Switzerland.
- Messaging (WhatsApp, where used): United States / Ireland.
- Analytics and advertising (Google, Meta): European Union / United States.
- Web-font service: United States.
15. Web fonts
The website loads its typefaces from a third-party font service at the time the page is rendered. As a result, the visitor's IP address is transmitted to that service for the purpose of delivering the fonts. The fonts are used solely to display the website correctly.
16. Use of artificial intelligence
Certain internal workflows of the company, for example the preparation and editing of marketing content, make use of AI tools. Personal data provided through this website are not transmitted to those AI tools. Should a feature be introduced on this website that transmits user input to an AI service, this will be indicated before submission and the applicable retention period will be shown. On the German-language version of the site, no feature transmits the user's own free text to an AI service.
17. Further processing in company operations
Beyond this website, the company processes further personal data in the course of its operations, in particular in organising expeditions, conducting cold-water sessions, and producing photographic and video material. Such processing is governed by the separate agreements, consent forms and notices provided to participants and clients in the relevant context. This statement describes the processing carried out via the website and does not constitute a complete description of all processing activities of the company.
18. Data retention
Personal data are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this statement or as required by applicable law, and are deleted thereafter. The principal retention periods are: enquiry data, six months following the last correspondence; booking and client records, for the duration of the contractual relationship and the applicable statutory retention periods; server log files, a limited period for security purposes; and analytics and advertising data, in accordance with the retention settings configured with the respective provider.
19. Rights of data subjects
Subject to the statutory conditions, data subjects have the right to obtain information about the processing of their personal data, to request the correction of inaccurate data, and to request the deletion of data or the restriction of or objection to processing. A right to receive certain data in a portable form may also apply. Requests for information are answered free of charge and, as a rule, within 30 days. In the case of a manifestly disproportionate request, Swiss law permits a contribution to costs of up to CHF 300, of which the data subject would be notified in advance. Requests may be addressed to info@adventurehealth.ch. The company may require verification of the requester's identity.
20. Complaint to a supervisory authority
Data subjects may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland. Data subjects resident in the European Union may also contact the supervisory authority of their country.
21. Amendments to this statement
This statement may be amended to reflect changes to the website or to applicable law. The version published here is the version in force.
