The expedition
The Greenland ice sheet under kite power, covering in one good day what a hauling team covers in three.
Same ice as the ski crossing, a completely different way to travel it. With a kite and the right wind, the inland ice opens up and the distances stop mattering the way they used to. On the best days you cover ground a hauling team only dreams about.
Thirty-five days, fully self-supported, reading wind and surface from first light to last. It rewards patience and punishes ego. Thomas has crossed this ice more ways than almost anyone alive.
